The
M3 Scribe Unit is a marking gauge attachment for the M3 Square. On the
left we can see the mounting slot with a large pinch bolt used to fix
its position. The M3 Scribe is flat lying, meaning it has greater stability
than traditional marking gauges. Its base plate chamfer and neck angle
ensure that the optimal marking position is achieved for either a pencil,
scribe point (available with M.POWER Tri-Scribes) or cutting blade (available
with M.POWER Tri-Blade).
The M3 Scribe unit turns the M3 Square into a precision marking gauge,
and unlike traditional gauges because it is flat lying and has a large
stock-surface to face-edge contact area it is much more stable and not
prone to wobble or mis-strike.
