Mod
Rods are router fence guide rod modular extensions that allow deeper in-board
router cutting channel depths to be attained whilst not restricting the
user with an arbitrary rod length.
Each set contains four 280mm rods that chain together with male-female
threaded connections providing 560mm of usable rod length when connected.
Because the rods are modular by design by threading the rods together
any multiple of 280mm can be attained. The rods are available in three
width size - 8mm, 10mm and 12mm.

Here we see a ½-inch plunge router cutting a channel deep in-board a sheet
of 18mm MDF using Mod Rods to increase the range of the fence guide way
beyond that possible with the standard guides. It may be of interest to
note that the board is being held clamp-free by a M.POWER Big Mach vacuum
hold down work bed that provides obstruction free clamping on five of
the work surfaces.
