The Precision sharpening system takes the guesswork out of sharpening chisels and plane blades, the manufacturer claims. The solid aluminum sharpener holds the blade stationary while a diamond stone, held in place in the carriage at either 25- or 30-degrees, is guided across the cutting edge until the blade is sharp. The diamond stone is available in six grades of grits to achieve the proper sharpness.
