Side
elevation of the Tri Blade cutting gauge post mounted in the Tri Scribe
woodwork gauge. Points of interest to note here are:
- The chamfered base plate that angles the whole unit forward, transferring
load onto the cutting point tip whilst providing flat lying contact.
This ensures both stability and sufficient natural load transference
to the cutting blade.
- The c-shaped mounting slot with large brass pinch bolt for locking
off the unit on a rule or square. Note the fulcrum lip at the bottom
of the mounting slot on the right. This acts as a pivot which makes
sure the rule or square blade are aligned correctly every time.
- The neck assembly angle and adjustable pinch bolt which locks the
cutting gauge post in place.
