Here
we see the Tri Blade accessory converts a Tri Scribe marking gauge into
a precision cutting gauge. Note the way the blade is angled and pitched
for optimum cutting performance to negate snagging and tear-out. The neck
unit angle and base plate chamfer ensure load is transferred for perfect
cutting balance to the blade tip.
Also note that the base plate is flat lying in contact with the workpiece.
This generates a smoother action and additional stability when striking
the cut meaning your cutting marks will be precise.
The blade itself is made from two sections from a disposable craft knife
blade and is held in place with a locking hex screw. The blade can be
easily replaced ensuring your cutting gauge is always sharp and accurate.
