The
U-Mach-Kit contains thick heavy duty Bottom Gasket material, a self-adhesive
closed cell neoprene rubber. It is used to form the vacuum cavity on the
bed's underside that gives the Mini Mach true portability as it can be
clamped to any flat non-porous impermeable worktop or bench for woodworking
operations.
The Vacuum Control Tap is on the left. Airflow is channeled from this
tap assembly to the main underside Vacuum Cavity via an air duct, the
Evacuation Gallery. The Evacuation Gallery is cut into the platen using
a router and is bridged by the Vacuum Control Tap Plate and Bottom Gasket
to seal the Vacuum Cavity.
Twelve ball valves also connect to the Vacuum Cavity through valve holes
drilled in the platen board.
The carrying handle is on the right. It also doubles up nicely as a hanger
to stow the Mini Mach when not in use.
