Bottom
Gasket tape comes in 2.3 metre long rolls, is 25mm wide and 6mm in depth.
It is a closed-cell expanded neoprene polymer rubber sponge material,
and comes with a self-adhesive backing for easy application.
The bottom gasket is thicker and wider than standard gasket to allow to
ensure the air-channel remains clear when vacuum compression occurs, and
also to cope with variations and kinks in platen boards and work surfaces.
The bottom gasket neoprene rubber polymer by its larger nature is also
heavy duty and durable. It is designed to take the hard knocks of workshop
life, but clearly can be used on an upper surface where a more demanding
specification is required on the vacuum system or jig.
To enlarge and customize either the U-Mach or Big-Mach vacuum hold down
bed kits you will require both Bottom and Top Gasket rolls.
