Template
Gasket tape comes in 2.3 metre long rolls, is 10mm wide and 3mm in depth.
It is a closed-cell expanded neoprene polymer rubber sponge material,
and comes with a self-adhesive backing for easy application.
This templating gasket is much better suited to applications that require
curvature and bending because it is only half the width of standard gasket
material and consequently much more malleable. Its very flexibility means
that even the most complex profiles can be accommodated.
Vacuum templates and jigs offer woodworkers the quickest and easiest method
of manual component replication available. No need for clamping and un-clamping,
re-setting etc., just place the workpiece on the template and route the
desired edge profile.
The most important thing to remember with the template gasket is that
it provides you with a complete array of vacuum hold down possibilities.
